Today the SMART team, on behalf of the Skagit County Coroner's Office, have made public the names of the persons killed during the shooting rampage that occurred Tuesday. They are:
- Deputy Anne Jackson, 40 year old, removed from 19342 Bridle Place

- Julie Binschus, 48 year old, removed from 19526 Silver Creek Drive
- Leroy Lange, 64 year old, killed on I-5
Detectives have completed the crime scene processing at all but two crimes scenes. They returned to 19342 Bridle Place and Silver Creek Drive this morning to complete the processing of those scenes and have begun processing the four vehicles that were impounded as part of this investigation.
Five of the victims are going to be transported to the Snohomish County Medical Examiner Office for autopsies. That decision was made jointly by the Incident Commander, Skagit County Coroner's Office, Skagit County Prosecutor's Office, and the Snohomish County Medical Examiner's Office in order to accommodate the large number of victims. The autopsies are anticipated to occur over the next three days. The sixth victim, Mr. Leroy Lange, autopsy has already occurred here in Skagit County.
The Skagit County Prosecutor anticipates filing charges on the suspect by Friday at 4:00p.m.
Detectives are still looking for anyone who might have information regarding this incident particularly anyone who may have been on southbound I-5 Tuesday afternoon at around 4:15p.m. who may have seen this incident or anyone who may have been near the Alger Shell Station at around that same time to please call the Tip Line at (360) 419 – 3257 with any information they might have.
There will not be an afternoon press briefing. Future press inquiries should be made through Sergeant Goetz at the contact numbers above. It is not anticipated that any new information will be available before Wednesday of next week.
