TumbleBookLibrary is an online collection of TumbleBooks – animated, talking picture books which teach kids the joy of reading in a format they'll love. TumbleBooks are created by adding animation, sound, music and narration to existing picture books in order to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you.

 

Who: families with children ages 10 - 13 year (parents or other adult relatives and children).

What: read a book, come together, come together to share, eat, reinforce family ties and make new friends.

When: 2nd Wednesday of the month.

Why: it's a fun way to read & share great children's books and meet new people.

Contact Janice in the Youth Services Department if interested. 

Join the Birthday Club
Get a birthday present from the Library! Visit the birthday bulletin board next time you come to the Library. Children ages 1 to 14 years may join the Birthday Club by filling out a form with their name, age, birthday and favorite book. During your birthday month, we will display your form on our bulletin board. You may pick up a birthday present from the Youth Services desk any time during that month. The Birthday Club is sponsored by the Mount Vernon Red Apple Market, Sammie Jo's Confections, and the Mount Vernon City Library.
