RSVP
The Home Security Patrol is a joint effort between the Skagit County Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and the Mount Vernon Police Department. Prior to leaving on vacation, you may request that your residence be checked by the Home Security Patrol. The RSVP will inspect your home daily, and immediately contact the Police Department if any criminal or suspicious activities are evident. While driving an unmarked patrol car, RSVP volunteers, working in pairs, check the homes of citizens while they are away. Each volunteer and his/her partner work approximately two hours one day per week.
