The City of Mount Vernon is required by state law to adopt a balanced annual budget.  The budget plan reflects the coordinated efforts of all City Departments and Elected Officials in identifying community needs and establishing priorities within the City's financial limitations.  Each year a budget is completed by December 31st.

The 2010 budget is available for review.  This budget was presented and adopted by Council on November 24, 2009.  Any subsequent budget amendments will not be reflected in this document. (Note:  this is a large file and may take a while to open.)
