The City of Mount Vernon is required by state law to adopt a balanced annual budget.  The budget plan reflects the coordinated efforts of all City Departments and Elected Officials in identifying community needs and establishing priorities within the City's financial limitations.  Each year a budget is completed by December 31st.

The 2010 preliminary budget is available for review.  This budget will be presented to Council on November 24, 2009. 

The 2009 budget is available for review.  This budget was presented to Council on November 25, 2008 and adopted at that time.  Any subsequent budget amendments will not be reflected in this document. (Note:  this is a large file and may take a while to open.)

A copy of the 2008 budget is also available for review.  This budget was approved by Council on November 20, 2007.  This copy is to be considered dated information for historical reference only.
