Sealed bid proposals were received by the City of Mount Vernon at the office of the City Finance Director, 910 Cleveland Avenue, Mount Vernon, Washington, 98273 until 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at which time the bids were opened and publicly read. A total of four bids were received. The apparent low bidder was Laser Underground & Earthworks, Inc., for their bid of $75,522.25. | Roosevelt Avenue Extension Project |

Notice was given that the City of Mount Vernon is soliciting interest from consulting firms with expertise in civil engineering, environmental, and other related professional services to support development of a new road alignment, Roosevelt Avenue Extension, beginning at Urban/College Way intersection and extending west and south to West Fir at Cameron Way. The City of Mount Vernon intends to award an engineering contract for this work in July 2010 and ending at project completion.

Saturdays, 9am-1pm, downtown Mount Vernon at the revetment. Fresh picked organic & local produce, flowers, plants, locally made cheese, bread, jewelry, soaps & skin care products, and much more!
Wednesday Farmers Market

1:30-5:30pm, Skagit Valley Hospital. Many of the same farm vendors as the Saturday market, but in a smaller setting. Come visit for a midweek supply of local produce!
Little Mountain Trail Work Parties
