Bob is serving his third term on the City Council after having previously serving on the Mount Vernon Planning Commission.  He moved to Mount Vernon with his family in 1954.  Bob attended Mount Vernon Schools and graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1972.

Bob is the Vice President of Sales for Crown Distributing Co., Inc. located in Arlington. He received a BA in Business Administration from Western Washington University.

Bob and his wife Cheri have lived in Mount Vernon since their marriage in 1977. Their son Dean graduated from Eastern Washington University and is currently working on his Masters Degree at San Jose State University.  Their son Neil married his wife Kristin in 2002, they reside in Stanwood.  Neil received his welding certificates from Skagit Valley College and is currently employed in Marysville.  Both Dean and Neil graduated from Mount Vernon High School.
