The City of Mount Vernon has contracted with Public Safety Testing to conduct the initial written and physical agility testing process for ENTRY-LEVEL POLICE, LATERAL as well as the written testing for FIREFIGHTER PARAMEDICS.

Please visit www.PublicSafetyTesting.com to complete an application online and to select the testing date, time, and location most convenient for you.  After applicants pass the test(s), their scores will be sent to our Human Resources Department for further processing.

Saturdays, 9am-1pm, downtown Mount Vernon at the revetment. Fresh picked organic & local produce, flowers, plants, locally made cheese, bread, jewelry, soaps & skin care products, and much more!
Wednesday Farmers Market

1:30-5:30pm, Skagit Valley Hospital. Many of the same farm vendors as the Saturday market, but in a smaller setting. Come visit for a midweek supply of local produce!
4th Annual Soap Box Derby Rally Race

Stock, Super Stock & master cars from all over are coming to race down the 2nd Street Viaduct into downtown Mount Vernon! Racing begins at 9am.
