The City of Mount Vernon utilizes a Consultant Roster for the selection of consultanting firms for many different types of projects and always looking for firms to assist the City's Public Works, Parks, and Community and Economic Development Departments in the following areas:

Public Works Design, Construction Management, and Inspection Services; Civil Road Design; Environmental Services; Public Education; Stream and Habitat Enhancement and Restoration; Shoreline and Critical Areas Updates; Architectural and Design Services; Structural Design and Inspection; Comprehensive Plan and Master Planning; Capital Improvement Planning; Landscape Architecture and Design; Zoning; and Surveying of various projects during 2010.

Firms wishing to be considered are requested to fill out a one page qualifications checklist, send one copy (maximum 15 pages) of their Statement of Qualifications to the City of Mount Vernon Public Works Department, P.O. Box 809, Mount Vernon, WA 98273.

The Statement of Qualifications should include the firm's specialties and types of work desired, previous experience, resumes of key personnel, and applicable references. Disadvantaged, minority and women-owned consultant firms are encouraged to respond and will be given maximum practical opportunity to participate.

Saturdays, 9am-1pm, downtown Mount Vernon at the revetment. Fresh picked organic & local produce, flowers, plants, locally made cheese, bread, jewelry, soaps & skin care products, and much more!
Wednesday Farmers Market
6/9/2010 - 9/22/2010
1:30-5:30pm, Skagit Valley Hospital. Many of the same farm vendors as the Saturday market, but in a smaller setting. Come visit for a midweek supply of local produce!
Little Mountain Trail Work Parties
7/24/2010 - 12/11/2010
Volunteer trail building at Little Mountain Park is underway. If you're interested in helping please come to a volunteer work party at 10am-4:30pm on July 24, August 14 & 28, and additional dates listed in the attached flyer.
Skagit County Fair
8/11/2010 - 8/14/2010
Great entertainment all day long! Carnival,live music, food, animal exhibits, and much more. $3 admission on August 11 until 3pm! Cost is $7 adults and $6 seniors & students at other times.
