On Monday, November 24, 2008 at approximately 10:35 AM, a lone male entered the business at 221 S. 1st Street, Mount Vernon. He confronted the store employees displaying a hand gun and demanded drugs. The subject is described as follows:

Suspect

RACE:                                   Caucasian
HGT:                                      6'0 – 6'1
AGE:                                     Late 20's – 30's.
BUILD:                                   Medium Build
HAIR:                                    Brown
CLOTHING:                             Sage Green Fleece style hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans

VEHICLE INVOLVED:
Believed to be a late model Nissan Pathfinder, black or dark in color with a trailer hitch that extends noticeably beyond the rear bumper.

The suspect fled on foot from the business. Skagit County Sheriff's Office assisted with a K-9 search of the area. The suspect was not located but believed to be associated with the vehicle listed above. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Mount Vernon Police Department at (360) 336-6271.
