To make a payment to the Court
If you would like to make a payment on your account with the Mount Vernon Municipal Court it is recommended that you call the Court first to obtain your account/citation number and the correct amount that is due.
Payments are accepted through the mail in the form of money order, cashier check, or personal check. For security purposes it is not recommend to send cash in the mail. You can make your payments, in person, at our office located at 1805 Continental Place in the form of money order, cashier check, personal check or cash, the Court also accepts Visa and MasterCard, over the phone and in person. We do not allow debit transactions over the telephone. The Court will not accept personal checks on certain types of charges and case dispositions; this may include but is not limited to, UIBC (unlawful issuance of bank checks) charges or bail forfeiture agreements. Therefore it is always best to contact the Court first, to verify account information and to be sure that your payment will get credited to the appropriate case/account.
