Gary is a 48-year lifelong resident of Mount Vernon. He owns Kens Hairstyling Inc. in downtown Mount Vernon, and has worked there for 26 years. His late father, Ken, opened the shop in 1958 and Gary has enjoyed serving and being a part of this great community. He is a graduate of Mount Vernon High School and Washington State University.

 

He has been happily married to his wife Rhondi for 26 years and they have 3 daughters, 2 who attend Washington State University and 1 who graduated from Central Washington University. They all plan on being teachers. Gary and Rhondi also have a son-in-law, David, and 1 grandson, Cody. Gary enjoys flyfishing, all outdoor activities, and high school sports.

 

Gary previously served on the Mount Vernon Planning Commission and looks forward to working with the City Council team.
