Councilmember - At-Large
Dale has lived in Mount Vernon for more than 20 years. He has two grown children, both graduates of Skagit Valley College, Washington State University and the University of Washington, both live in the Seattle area. His wife, Susan, is retired form Skagit State Bank after a career of 32 years.
He has served on the Mount Vernon Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Skagit Valley Hospital Foundation Board, and is a past president of the Mount Vernon-Skagit Rotary Club. Dale holds a Master of Business Administration degree.
He is the owner of Karl's Paints, a company which has been in business in Mount Vernon for more than 50 years and Stockton's Paints in Bellingham that was founded in 1937. Dale possesses multiple certifications for paint consultancy.
"I believe that our government should be in place to do for us what we can't do for ourselves; streets, sewer, parks, waste collection, fire and police services and infrastructure items," said Ragan.
"I am in my second term as a Mount Vernon City Councilmember, filling the At-Large position, and strive to spend the taxpayer's dollars like they were my own," he said.
Dale enjoys working on and restoring collectible cars and his old house.
